About Mercy Community

Mercy Community is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation, compassionately inspiring and supporting people to live hopeful, connected lives within inclusive communities. We support people living with disability, older people, and families and young people, through services and programs including foster and kinship care, family support, counselling, multicultural community support, and family mental health. We live by our values of Compassion, Integrity, Dignity and Empowerment.

Within our foster and kinship care program, we support over 500 carers across south-east Queensland. Our carers provide safe and loving home environments for some of the most vulnerable children in Queensland, covering everything from emergency care and weekend care to long-term care. Mercy Community has been providing services and support for over 150 years and our team of more than 1300 operates across a network that encompasses urban, rural and remote communities.
